New
inspection manual for ITV roadworthiness test
Modifications to the second revision of
the Inspection Manual
A new revision of the Manual for Procedure
for Inspection in Roadworthiness Test stations has just been published,
and will very shortly be applied.
This revision of the manual aims to adapt itself to and absorb
legislation which has been brought out since the appearance of
the last revision of the previous Inspection Manual in June 1998,
as well as to allow for new technical advances incorporated into
vehicles in their active and passive safety systems.

Lessons

Cesvimap is stepping up its dedication
to professional teaching with new text books
Specific Professional Training, as regulated
by Ordinance R.D. 676/1993, is to be given in the Educational
Cycles at Medium and Higher Degree level, according to the Spanish
education system. Cesvimap contributes to training students following
these courses with the publication of a range of text books, based
on real processes and on the rigorously thorough tasks carried
out by experienced technicians and operators in a repair shop.
This research centre has every intention of pursuing this type
of work as a priority.

The control of working conditions in
the bodywork and paintwork repair shops, strict monitoring of
the health of workers and the evaluation of risks are all determining
factors in guaranteeing the effectivity of a prevention system.
This efficiency must be demonstrable to the relevant authorities,
by means of documents showing that all this has indeed been carried
out.
